Designing for Calm: IDI’s Transformation of the PUB Office

The IDI team recently revitalised PUB’s office into a thoughtfully designed workspace that prioritises calm, clarity, and focus. Moving away from visual clutter and rigid layouts, the new environment embraces simplicity and intentional design to support both productivity and well-being.

Soft white workstations set the tone for a clean and serene atmosphere, complemented by blue steel fabric panels that introduce a subtle sense of depth and tranquillity. Clean lines and a spacious layout reduce distractions, allowing employees to stay focused throughout the day. Natural light streams in through large windows, enhancing the sense of openness while creating a brighter, more uplifting environment. Neutral-toned carpets add a layer of warmth, grounding the space and reinforcing its calm character.

Material and colour choices were carefully curated to strike a balance between modernity and comfort. Ash wood tables bring in a natural, tactile quality, pairing seamlessly with the cool blue accents. Gentle hints of orange are introduced sparingly, adding just the right amount of energy without overwhelming the space.

The result is a harmonious workplace that supports clarity of thought, encourages comfort, and fosters sustained productivity, an environment where design works quietly in the background to elevate everyday experiences.
